Why Believe? (whybelieve.faith) is a Christian apologetics curriculum for grades 3-12. It teaches students there is abundant evidence for the existence of a creator using evidence from science, history, archaeology, and philosophy.

The curriculum includes 27+ lessons across three age-appropriate tracks:

– Explorer (grades 3-5)
– Foundations (grades 6-8)
– Advanced (grades 9-12)

Topics include the cosmological argument, fine-tuning, the moral argument, manuscript evidence, archaeology, the historical Jesus, the resurrection, the problem of evil, divine hiddenness, Old Testament difficulties, and honest engagement with objections from Dawkins, Hitchens, and Ehrman. Each lesson includes interactive quizzes with detailed feedback for wrong answers – not just “try again” but an explanation of the specific misconception.

Scholars featured throughout include William Lane Craig, C.S. Lewis, Alvin Plantinga, John Lennox, Gary Habermas, N.T. Wright, Michael Behe, Francis Collins, and James Tour.

The site is 100% free – no account, no ads, no monetization. It is non-denominational and designed for homeschool families, youth groups, and Christian schools. The entire curriculum is live at whybelieve.faith with no login required.

I built this because research from Barna Group and Lifeway Research shows that a significant percentage of young people walk away from faith in college – often not because they’ve rejected Christianity, but because no one ever gave them reasons to believe it was true. This curriculum is designed to change that.
